Rotary Year 2025-2026
A Message from the President of the Rotary Club of Montego Bay
For 64 years, the Rotary Club of Montego Bay has been at the forefront of positive change and support within the veins of communities in need in Montego Bay. Today, we stand as a collective of leaders from all around the world who come together as volunteers outside of our day jobs with a deep sense of service above self. The work that Rotarians represent within communities is often unknown, but we are there, working together with local and international partners to bring clean drinking water to villages in need. Supporting basic education and literacy initiatives, saving mothers and babies and growing awareness in a cycle of social and economic change.

The framework of the Rotary Club of Montego Bay rests along the boundary of Rotary International. It is through the foundation set by the men and women who strive to see a world where we unite to create lasting change in the world, ourselves and in our communities do we get our daily charge.

"The Magic of Rotary" is the 2024-25 theme that emphasizes the transformative power of Rotary International's work in communities around the world. The message behind this theme likely centers on the idea that through Rotary's service, dedication, and collaboration, incredible things can be achieved to make the world a better place.

Here's a message inspired by the theme "The Magic of Rotary":

"In every corner of the globe, Rotary brings the magic of hope, compassion, and change. Like magicians of goodwill, Rotarians weave together threads of service, turning dreams into reality and challenges into triumphs. With each project, each act of kindness, we unleash the power of Rotary to create lasting impact and transform lives. Together, let's continue to spread the magic of Rotary, illuminating darkness with light, and making our world shine brighter for generations to come."

This message highlights the transformative nature of Rotary's work and the dedication of its members to create positive change in the world. It emphasizes the idea that by working together, Rotarians can perform "magic" in their communities, bringing hope and joy to those in need.

The Rotary Club of Montego Bay, the second oldest club in Jamaica is a voluntary service organisation of people who have come together to form the Rotary club of Montego Bay. The Rotary Club of Montego Bay (chartered 1961) is part of the worldwide Rotary International network. Rotary International consists of 1.4 million leaders and problem-solvers who work together as volunteers, to create lasting change.
